In 1994 CONAM entered into a joint venture with Tikigaq Corporation, the Alaskan Native Village Corporation of Point Hope located on Alaska's northwestern coast. Commercial and Public Works Projects in the North Slope Borough and State, along with Oil and Gas Projects in the oil industry were targeted by this partnership providing opportunities for both partners. Infrastructure projects were performed in the Villages of Pt. Hope, Barrow, Atquasuk, Wainwright, Nuiqsut, Pt. Lay, Anaktuvuk Pass and the Air Force Radar Site at Cape Lisburne. Oil and Gas Projects were performed in the Alpine Field and Kuparuk Fields for ConocoPhillips Alaska and the Milne Point and Prudhoe Bay Fields for BP Exploration (Alaska). The partnership continues to support the policy of Alaska Native hire and training programs and operates today as Tikigaq/CONAM, LLC.
Turnkey / EPC Construction
CONAM can assume full responsibility for Engineering, Procurement and Construction of new projects. Typically, this involves early efforts with our clients to identify crucial project deliverables, permits and logistics. CONAM also has the ability to identify the appropriate partners and subcontractors to form a team which is fit for the purpose of the project, including engineering and procurement, legal, and community and government relations. Early involvement in project development pays dividends during the construction phase of the project, when compared to traditional Design-Bid-Build projects where the construction contractor inputs typically arrive too late to optimize design, specification, logistics and constructability. CONAM can assume EPC responsibility for projects with values exceeding $150 Million.
Constructability Reviews / Consulting
From our extensive experience of successfully constructing a wide range of Commercial and Heavy Industrial Projects, CONAM can offer our Clients the benefit of this experience by performing Constructability Reviews during the design phase of their projects. During the constructability reviews we evaluate the practical aspects of assembling the project and offer suggestions for ways to increase productivity through suggested design changes to maximize construction techniques. These constructability reviews often provide a project with less risk and lower cost for our clients.
